Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Ernie Ball started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Tristan in the 6th minute of play forced Rank 1's goalkeeper Klas Ståhlberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 9 minutes Rank 1's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Quique Doro who took care of the corner kick. Ernie Ball's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Klas Ståhlberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. In the 15th minute of the match Batalionul U23 Dorobanti got a corner. Rank 1's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Quique Doro ran over to the corner to take the kick. Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's Quique Doro was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Klas Ståhlberg in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 17 minutes into the match, Rank 1's goal looked a bit too open when Ernie Ball came free, but Klas Ståhlberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 21st minute of the match Blagoy Doro shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Klas Ståhlberg showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 22 minutes into the match, Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's goalkeeper Angel Comizzo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dick Lindgren. Angel Comizzo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jimmy Allbom, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernie Ball in the 31st minute of play forced Rank 1's goalkeeper Klas Ståhlberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32ndth minute of the game Ernie Ball who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rank 1's Klas Ståhlberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ernie Ball blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Klas Ståhlberg having to make a save. 35 minutes into the match, Rank 1's goal looked a bit too open when Ernie Ball came free, but Klas Ståhlberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's Angel Comizzo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Conny Vesterberg in the 37th minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, Ernie Ball notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Rank 1's Klas Ståhlberg. Klas Ståhlberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Conny Vesterberg was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Rank 1 booed when Batalionul U23 Dorobanti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Blagoy Doro didn't get a good kick on the ball. 52 minutes into the match, Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's goal looked a bit too open when Gösta Beckman came free, but Angel Comizzo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Klas Ståhlberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Diego Tristan in the 55th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Rank 1's zone, Ernie Ball stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Klas Ståhlberg came out of the goal and Ernie Ball tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Gavril Bobei came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Batalionul U23 Dorobanti fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gavril Bobei couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ernie Ball got free with Klas Ståhlberg in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 63rd minute, Conny Vesterberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Klas Ståhlberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diego Tristan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ernie Ball's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Klas Ståhlberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. Klas Ståhlberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Diego Tristan in the 72nd minute. In the 72nd minute, Felix Curtis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Angel Comizzo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dick Lindgren in the 77th minute of the match. After 78 played minutes Batalionul U23 Dorobanti got a freekick which was hit by Edgar-Allan Doro. In the 79th minute Gösta Beckman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angel Comizzo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 81st match minute, Batalionul U23 Dorobanti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Blagoy Doro to maneuver through the defense. In the 87th minute Ernie Ball shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Klas Ståhlberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's Mădălin Geamănu got a free kick in the 92nd minute. In the 93rd minute of the match Gösta Beckman sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Angel Comizzo skillfully saved the ball. When the final whistle sounded Batalionul U23 Dorobanti left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Rank 1.
