With an all-out effort, Marlin FC's Sergiu Cobâlcescu threw himself towards the right post 9 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Anier Eufrasio, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Cédric Payen succeeded in the game's 10th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. If Dudu Georgescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dudu Georgescu scored 0-2 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Erasmo Ixona, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 22 minutes into the match, Marlin FC's goal looked a bit too open when Codruț Podgoreanu came free, but Erasmo Ixona reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnaldo Darien hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. The supporters of Marlin FC booed when Minerul Baita -MM- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mons Vallestad didn't get a good kick on the ball. Casimiro Gonzales in the 33rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Sergiu Cobâlcescu, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Cédric Payen hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. In the 42nd match minute, Minerul Baita -MM- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mons Vallestad to maneuver through the defense. When Ignacio Derwin came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Marlin FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ignacio Derwin couldn't finish the play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The wind increased when Cédric Payen made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dudu Georgescu in the 50th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Erasmo Ixona prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 52 played minutes Minerul Baita -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Rudolf Magnusson. Sergiu Cobâlcescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ignacio Derwin in the 60th minute of the match. Dudu Georgescu kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Casimiro Gonzales scored 1-2 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sergiu Cobâlcescu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Casimiro Gonzales in the 78th minute of play forced Minerul Baita -MM-'s goalkeeper Sergiu Cobâlcescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 80 minutes, Victor Lupeanu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Minerul Baita -MM- and the Marlin FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Victor Lupeanu kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Minerul Baita -MM-'s Mugur Hurmuzache was substituted for Cédric Payen. After 81 played minutes Minerul Baita -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Victor Lupeanu. 83 minutes into the match, Mugur Hurmuzache dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Erasmo Ixona, 1-3. 94 minutes into the match, Mugur Hurmuzache had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Erasmo Ixona. Marlin FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mugur Hurmuzache was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. Minerul Baita -MM-'s fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
