Armando Sabino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christoph Haßelmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Bai Chao Zheng made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Jeferson Nóbrega sent off a good shot on target. Armando Sabino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edinho Moraes in the 8th minute of the match. Christoph Haßelmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Armando Sabino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Dudu Leme fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Galo do Japi's protests and gave Dudu Leme a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Galo do Japi getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Dudu Leme hit a great ball. Galo do Japi's attentive Dudu Leme managed to snatch the ball when Oséas Moraes made a throw-in in the 16th minute of the game. With a little luck, Pau Nas Canelas's Bai Chao Zheng got control of the ball when Ronaldo Joinvilense tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 18th minute of the match Galo do Japi got a corner. Pau Nas Canelas's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Laerte Caca-Rato ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Ronaldo Joinvilense managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. 21 minutes into the game, Lech Biraga threw the ball into play from the sideline. Galo do Japi's Dudu Leme quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Bai Chao Zheng made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ronaldo Joinvilense in the 25th minute. Ronaldo Joinvilense scored 1-0 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bai Chao Zheng, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ronaldo Joinvilense took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bai Chao Zheng. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jeferson Nóbrega got free with Bai Chao Zheng in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bai Chao Zheng took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronaldo Joinvilense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Armando Sabino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christoph Haßelmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. 48 minutes into the match, Ronaldo Joinvilense dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Bai Chao Zheng, 3-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jeferson Nóbrega stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ronaldo Joinvilense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 54th minute, Ronaldo Joinvilense got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christoph Haßelmann in the 60th minute of play forced Galo do Japi's goalkeeper Armando Sabino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Dudu Leme was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 61 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Galo do Japi's Dudu Leme got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Jeferson Nóbrega received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. After 81 played minutes Pau Nas Canelas got a freekick which was hit by Christoph Haßelmann.
