In the 23rd minute Jonathan Tingberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santo Dimo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 24th minute, Kurt Henriksson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Santo Dimo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Anacleto Harri took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arne Åkesson. Arne Åkesson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. In the 38th minute of the match, Javier Pastore tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Arne Åkesson saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When Markus Åkesson fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sävedalen's protests and gave Markus Åkesson a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Sävedalen getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Markus Åkesson hit a great ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Roy Danielsson to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Roland Boon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sävedalen's Arne Åkesson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anacleto Harri in the 54th minute of play. Sävedalen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erik Bokelund was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Sävedalen supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Sävedalen would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
