When Carlos Lapurdi fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Atlético Escocia's protests and gave Carlos Lapurdi a yellow card for diving instead. Carlos Lapurdi hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. In the 16th minute, Sävedalen's Mikael Larsfält dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Club Atlético Escocia's Jeronimo Mon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hannes Johansson in the 21st minute of play. In the 34th minute Leonel Caponi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zebastian Göransson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jeronimo Mon was a little too slow when Ian Vallengren got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 37th minute. The score was now 2-1. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jeronimo Mon showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Leonel Caponi scored 2-2 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zebastian Göransson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Club Atlético Escocia made a substitution. Baltasar Elazar replaced Carlos Lapurdi. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Facundo Nahas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
