Dono Tanzier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Waldemar Ortiz in the 36th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jufri Mamahit in the 37th minute of play forced Vascogoianiense FC's goalkeeper Bernardo Corrêa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dono Tanzier didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hélder Trigo went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jufri Mamahit to make the kick off. Gofar Sentanu's late challenge caught a Vascogoianiense FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wahyu Papara in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bernardo Corrêa saved Vascogoianiense FC from getting behind. In the 92nd minute Igus Lisandri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Corrêa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dida Baiano was shown his second yellow card after 94 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 94 played minutes Vascogoianiense FC got a freekick which was hit by Dida Baiano. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Bestone 716 - Jakarta fully deserved thier win.
