Maurinho Valadares blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bernardo Corrêa having to make a save. Vascogoianiense FC's Bernardo Corrêa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Vascogoianiense FC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurinho Valadares in the 13th minute of play forced Vascogoianiense FC's goalkeeper Bernardo Corrêa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bernardo Corrêa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Maurinho Valadares's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. 19 minutes into the game, MUSHIBA FC's Claudinho Tande nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bernardo Corrêa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 21st minute, Vascogoianiense FC's Dida Baiano seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Dida Baiano the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Vascogoianiense FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Dida Baiano had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 22 played minutes Vascogoianiense FC got a freekick which was hit by Dida Baiano. Bernardo Corrêa acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 23rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Juan de Almeida. After a rather tough play, Vascogoianiense FC's Ronaldão Carvalho got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Anderson Valladares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 28thth minute of the game Maurinho Valadares who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vascogoianiense FC's Bernardo Corrêa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. João Augusto Quintal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hélder Trigo, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. The supporters of MUSHIBA FC booed when Vascogoianiense FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Waldemar Ortiz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 33rd minute Juan de Almeida shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Corrêa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bernardo Corrêa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maurinho Valadares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The throw-in from Bebeto Leal in the 46th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by MUSHIBA FC's Gilmar Meira. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hélder Trigo to strike the kick off in the second half. Bernardo Corrêa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maurinho Valadares in the 52nd minute of play. Manuel Segovia hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. When Juan de Almeida came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the MUSHIBA FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juan de Almeida couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Vascogoianiense FC's Ronaldão Carvalho got a free kick in the 57th minute. After 58 played minutes, MUSHIBA FC's Juan de Almeida shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Bernardo Corrêa came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in MUSHIBA FC reached it. In the 59th minute, Bebeto Leal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bernardo Corrêa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Maurinho Valadares went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. When Bebeto Leal fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vascogoianiense FC's protests and gave Bebeto Leal a yellow card for diving instead. Vascogoianiense FC's Bernardo Corrêa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maurinho Valadares in the 67th minute of play. 72 minutes into the match, Vascogoianiense FC's goal looked a bit too open when Natã Paiva came free, but Bernardo Corrêa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maurinho Valadares scored 3-0 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bernardo Corrêa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Vascogoianiense FC defense, Maurinho Valadares kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bernardo Corrêa. The Vascogoianiense FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bernardo Corrêa should have stopped the shot. MUSHIBA FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
