After 19 minutes Sociedad Anónima's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Julio Mambru who took care of the corner kick. Danilo Santxol showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olo Alija in the 21st minute of the match. In the 22nd minute, Olo Alija got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Arthur Theakston sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Sociedad Anónima's Pau Canillas got a free kick in the 33rd minute. In the 39th match minute, Soroca F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Esteban Juvenal to maneuver through the defense. Danilo Santxol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silvestre Savion, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Arthur Theakston had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Soroca F.C. players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sociedad Anónima were winning 0-1.

The referee ignored Sociedad Anónima's protests and gave Pau Canillas a yellow card for diving instead. After 66 minutes of play, Soroca F.C.'s Arthur Theakston made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net.
