Cirilo Frichoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olov Hellkvist in the 5th minute of play. Jairo Nazario kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Matthias Fransson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eustaquio Iraido, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Olov Hellkvist might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cirilo Frichoso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Olov Hellkvist ran back to his position shaking his head. The JKs Talanger fans' excitement grew in the 21st match minute when JKs Talanger's Olov Hellkvist looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Matthias Fransson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marco Lonzo in the 28th minute of the match. After 31 played minutes JKs Talanger got a freekick which was hit by Malcolm Fredriksson. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eustaquio Iraido to make the kick off. Sune Tinglöf kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. After 71 played minutes Merengue FC got a freekick which was hit by Jose Victoro. Cirilo Frichoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olov Hellkvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Olov Hellkvist blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cirilo Frichoso having to make a save. Jose Victoro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Matthias Fransson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. JKs Talanger's Matthias Fransson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco Lonzo in the 94th minute of play. The JKs Talanger players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
