Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edoardo Pasin in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mané Quirino prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Goiás Esporte Clube getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Vítor Loyola hit a great ball. Edoardo Pasin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mané Quirino having to make a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cillian Murphy in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mané Quirino saved Goiás Esporte Clube from getting behind. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edgard Cabral to strike the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Senator S.A.K's goal looked a bit too open when Valdir Neves came free, but Edvin van der Sar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 59 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Edoardo Pasin sped through Goiás Esporte Clube's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mané Quirino. 63 minutes into the match, Edoardo Pasin dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Mané Quirino, 1-3. 70 minutes into the match, Goiás Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Mané Quirino had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alfredo Llanos. If Alfredo Llanos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mané Quirino was out of position in the 92 minute of play, and Alfredo Llanos capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Alfredo Llanos really showed his touch with that goal: 1-6. Alfredo Llanos received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mané Quirino came out and tried to block the shot, but Alfredo Llanos slotted it home off the left post making it 1-7 in the 95th minute. Senator S.A.K's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
