Sabri Letailleur tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 5th match minute, Maverick Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vágner Proença to maneuver through the defense. Maverick Futebol Clube's Wesley Meira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guillaume Soudan in the 8th minute of play. After 10 minutes of play, Herblay's Guillaume Soudan made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wesley Meira was left in no man's land by his defense there! Wesley Meira didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Antonin Daguerre went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Guillaume Soudan put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Wesley Meira. Batista Fuertehijar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Wesley Meira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 28th minute Guillaume Soudan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wesley Meira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Herblay getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Émilien Tessier hit a great ball. 32 minutes into the game, Herblay's Guillaume Soudan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wesley Meira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Vágner Proença hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Guillaume Soudan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Herblay's supporters rose to their feet, but Guillaume Soudan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wesley Meira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Guillaume Soudan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wesley Meira was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. Paulo Renato Linhares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sabri Letailleur having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Paulo Renato Linhares to make the kick off. After having played for 56 minutes, Guillaume Soudan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Herblay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guillaume Soudan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 61 played minutes Maverick Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Antônio de Souza. With his leg Wesley Meira managed to avoid a goal in the 68thth minute, when Herblay's Guillaume Soudan fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Wesley Meira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Guillaume Soudan in the 71st minute. In the 72nd minute Herblay were awarded a corner. Émilien Tessier went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Émilien Tessier got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Wesley Meira quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Guillaume Soudan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wesley Meira having to make a save. In the 80th minute, Antonin Daguerre made a precise shot to the right of Wesley Meira. Maverick Futebol Clube's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-7. 83 minutes in the game, Guillaume Soudan fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Wesley Meira having to interfere. After 84 minutes, Olívio Teles mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Maverick Futebol Clube and the Herblay players grew even worse after the yellow card. Olívio Teles hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. 87 minutes into the match, Maverick Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Wesley Meira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Batista Fuertehijar. Batista Fuertehijar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maverick Futebol Clube's Wesley Meira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Maverick Futebol Clube from getting a goal against them. The Maverick Futebol Clube fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Herblay were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
