After 7 minutes, Aron Östman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Newcastle United F.C. and the Carloforte f.c. players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Newcastle United F.C.'s Aron Östman got a free kick in the 7th minute. In the 8th match minute, Carloforte f.c. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ercole Marra to maneuver through the defense. Alex Federici made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aron Östman in the 9th minute of play. Joar Åberg's late challenge caught a Carloforte f.c.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joar Åberg helped the player get up and apologised. In the 19th match minute, Newcastle United F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joar Åberg to maneuver through the defense. In the 20th minute, Joar Åberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Newcastle United F.C.'s zone, Bianco Mannucci stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christoffer Dahlquist came out of the goal and Bianco Mannucci tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alex Federici showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rickard Brodin, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. The audience was convinced that Aron Östman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alex Federici was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Newcastle United F.C.'s Isac Walmarsson got a free kick in the 28th minute. Arturo De Vito took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Christoffer Dahlquist. Christoffer Dahlquist dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aron Östman in the 36th minute of play forced Carloforte f.c.'s goalkeeper Alex Federici to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 44th match minute, Carloforte f.c. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angelo Vitale to maneuver through the defense. Carloforte f.c.'s Arturo De Vito suffered a concussion in the 45th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. 45 minutes into the game, Bengt-Åke Ekerot was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Newcastle United F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Carloforte f.c. the free kick. Carloforte f.c.'s Dino Di Nucci was substituted for Arturo De Vito. Bengt-Åke Ekerot kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The wind increased when Aron Östman made the kick off in the second half. Newcastle United F.C.'s Aron Östman got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Claes Grubb blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alex Federici having to make a save. Alex Federici took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aron Östman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Carloforte f.c.'s Elia Crisantemo got a free kick in the 61st minute. A collision led to Carloforte f.c. getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Dave Ottaviani hit a great ball. Elia Crisantemo's late challenge caught a Newcastle United F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elia Crisantemo helped the player get up and apologised. After having played for 67 minutes, Joar Åberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Newcastle United F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Joar Åberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alex Federici showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aron Östman in the 70th minute of the match. 74 minutes into the match, Carloforte f.c.'s goalkeeper Alex Federici had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aron Östman. Alex Federici had great luck who in the 75thth minute grab hold of the ball when Aron Östman from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Alex Federici took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aron Östman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Newcastle United F.C. booed when Carloforte f.c. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Demetrio Maurizi didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aron Östman in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alex Federici saved Carloforte f.c. from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Carloforte f.c. had won after a very even match.
