The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 played minutes FC Chorchoj got a freekick which was hit by Přemek Štolba. Köping's Alex Lidström got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vladimír Adam received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Jack Lindgren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pavel Paták during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to FC Chorchoj getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Pavel Paták hit a great ball. Jaroslav Mlejnek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fredrik Abelsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Felix Pech hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vladimír Adam in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jack Lindgren saved Köping from getting behind. After taking down the ball on FC Chorchoj's corner Herbert Konečný fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jack Lindgren quite easily take care of the ball. Vladimír Adam struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Jack Lindgren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Chorchoj.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alex Lidström to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stig Aronsson in the 54th minute of play forced FC Chorchoj's goalkeeper Jaroslav Mlejnek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Alex Lidström came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Köping fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alex Lidström couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Chorchoj's Vladimír Adam slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jack Lindgren. That made the score 0-1 after 56 minutes of play. When the match clock showed 63 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Vladimír Adam sped through Köping's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jack Lindgren. Jack Lindgren didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 69th minute, which inside left pole to 0-3. Vladimír Adam could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Jack Lindgren made a huge save. FC Chorchoj's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
