In the 3rd minute, Veronica Sabugo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Silvério Netto was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Loja S.C.'s Felix Pascua in the 6th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Silvério Netto was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Academia Militar MZ through an amazing save. Orlando de Andrade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Fidel Lecea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rene Carrandi got free with Silvério Netto in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Silvério Netto was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Felix Pascua showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 22 minute of play. After 26 minutes, Felix Pascua mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Loja S.C. and the Academia Militar MZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. Dedé Carneiro took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 37th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Fidel Lecea. Loja S.C.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 38th minute Adrianinho de Salles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fidel Lecea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 43rd match minute, Loja S.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexandro Antoniano to maneuver through the defense. Orlando de Andrade blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fidel Lecea having to make a save. Adrianinho de Salles hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Orlando de Andrade stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Academia Militar MZ getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Dedé Carneiro hit a great ball. In the 51st minute of the match Moisés Yañez shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Silvério Netto showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Urtun Baldaliso kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. After having played for 55 minutes, Adrianinho de Salles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Academia Militar MZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adrianinho de Salles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Abelardo Valle fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Academia Militar MZ's protests and gave Abelardo Valle a yellow card for diving instead. After 58 played minutes Academia Militar MZ got a freekick which was hit by Abelardo Valle. Silvério Netto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Pascua, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Academia Militar MZ booed when Loja S.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Veronica Sabugo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 76th minute Veronica Sabugo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvério Netto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Felix Pascua managed to get in a good position for a shot. Loja S.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Felix Pascua was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Silvério Netto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Loja S.C. were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Academia Militar MZ for a fine match.
