In the last second Prospero Calvino throw himself and got hold of the ball when Breno Vieira in the 5thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 12th minute, Eriberto Navarro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 15 minutes into the game, Luiz Eduardo Donatello was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. S.F.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rafaela FC the free kick. A sloppy throw-in by Nelson Zanette in the 16th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Rafaela FC's Guido Primeiro. Adilson Alcântara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zeledon Locaio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 19 minutes into the match, Rafaela FC's goal looked a bit too open when Breno Vieira came free, but Prospero Calvino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 21 minutes S.F.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gustavo Amato who took care of the corner kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zeledon Locaio in the 26th minute of play forced S.F.'s goalkeeper Adilson Alcântara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Rafaela FC's Prospero Calvino got control of the ball when Dida Paraense tried to sneak it across the goal line. 38 minutes into the match, Rafaela FC's goalkeeper Prospero Calvino had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcinho das Neves. After 38 played minutes Marcinho das Neves rounded Rafaela FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-0. The supporters of S.F. booed when Rafaela FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amador Eate didn't get a good kick on the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 42 minutes, Prospero Calvino successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When Marcinho das Neves fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored S.F.'s protests and gave Marcinho das Neves a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to S.F. getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Marcinho das Neves hit a great ball. Régis Ramalho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zeledon Locaio to strike the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Eugenio Izotz kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Adilson Alcântara. That made the score 3-1 in the 51 minute of play. Gustavo Amato charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gustavo Amato the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of S.F. booed when Rafaela FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustavo Amato didn't get a good kick on the ball. S.F.'s 蔡傲克 got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Prospero Calvino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dida Paraense in the 67th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the match, Rafaela FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dida Paraense came free, but Prospero Calvino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eugenio Izotz hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. The supporters of S.F. booed when Rafaela FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustavo Amato didn't get a good kick on the ball. When S.F.'s Dida Paraense in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rafaela FC's goalie prevented a goal. Prospero Calvino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dida Paraense, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Rafaela FC's Prospero Calvino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcinho das Neves in the 83rd minute of play. After 86 played minutes S.F. got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Eduardo Donatello. In the 94thth minute of the game Dida Paraense who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rafaela FC's Prospero Calvino was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The S.F. fans cheered their team off the field, for while Rafaela FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
