The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Liga de Quito getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Vidal Cismado hit a great ball. Tiburcio Servando received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Jairo Collador tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 6th minute, Eduardo Mascareñas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Honorato Ur was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. A hard shot by Vidal Cismado from long distance, 10 minutes into the match, got Honorato Ur's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Honorato Ur was a little too slow when Eduardo Mascareñas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 15th minute. The score was now 2-0. Honorato Ur was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Eduardo Mascareñas showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 19 minute of play. FMArgentina's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Moreta Casanueva 28 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 4-0. Jairo Collador stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paulino Oroitz's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Paulino Oroitz put it in 4-1 from a short distance just to the right of Jairo Collador. 35 minutes into the match, FMArgentina's goal looked a bit too open when Nestor Ibaute came free, but Honorato Ur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Horacio Tuste's late challenge caught a Liga de Quito's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Horacio Tuste helped the player get up and apologised. Horacio Tuste hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Honorato Ur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Checa Cerezo in the 40th minute of play. Honorato Ur came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Liga de Quito's Eduardo Mascareñas. But to his dismay, Eduardo Mascareñas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eduardo Mascareñas made a kick off. Tiburcio Servando sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 58 minutes, Delmar Batista mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FMArgentina and the Liga de Quito players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 58th match minute, FMArgentina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Delmar Batista to maneuver through the defense. Nestor Ibaute struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Honorato Ur didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Liga de Quito. With a little luck, Liga de Quito's Jairo Collador got control of the ball when Horacio Tuste tried to sneak it across the goal line. 77 minutes in the game, Horacio Tuste fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Jairo Collador having to interfere. Honorato Ur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nestor Ibaute in the 78th minute of play. In the 88th minute, Eduardo Mascareñas made a precise shot to the right of Honorato Ur. FMArgentina's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-1. Liga de Quito's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
