GuateFortín's Carlos Navarro Montoya proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save GuateFortín from getting a goal against them. Fausto Maurizi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Navarro Montoya having to interfere. In the 21st match minute, GuateFortín was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ezequiel Peruanton to maneuver through the defense. After 24 played minutes Glasgow Rangers FC got a freekick which was hit by Teobald Barciniak. 25 minutes into the game, GuateFortín's Milton Umaña nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ferdinando Andreoli made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 29 minutes into the match, GuateFortín's goal looked a bit too open when Teobald Barciniak came free, but Carlos Navarro Montoya reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carlos Navarro Montoya showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teobald Barciniak in the 31st minute of the match. Douglas Ayala hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match.

The wind increased when Fausto Maurizi made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to GuateFortín getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Ferenc Sárközi hit a great ball. The supporters of Glasgow Rangers FC booed when GuateFortín was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Bonilla didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alex Salerno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carlos Navarro Montoya didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cesare Di Cola went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Glasgow Rangers FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
