Miguel Ángel Santoro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Justino Estevez in the 3rd minute of play. Conrad Carrington hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Justino Estevez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Miguel Ángel Santoro was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. Jairo Tab sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 12 played minutes C. A. Independiente got a freekick which was hit by Guy Becerra. Jairo Tab struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Miguel Ángel Santoro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SABALEPLUS. Miguel Ángel Santoro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jairo Tab, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. 18 minutes into the match, SABALEPLUS's goalkeeper Bernabe Hanot had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Guy Becerra. After a rather tough play, SABALEPLUS's Nunez Savier got a free kick in the 19th minute. Godofredo Ferrando sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Miguel Ángel Santoro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Justino Estevez in the 23rd minute of the match. 23 minutes into the match, Justino Estevez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Miguel Ángel Santoro. C. A. Independiente's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Justino Estevez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 27th match minute, SABALEPLUS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruno Froila to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Conrad Carrington from long distance, 28 minutes into the match, got Bernabe Hanot's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Jairo Tab's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Miguel Ángel Santoro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. In the 31st minute Justino Estevez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Ángel Santoro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 32 minutes, Conrad Carrington mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the C. A. Independiente and the SABALEPLUS players grew even worse after the yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Jairo Tab managed to get in a good position for a shot. SABALEPLUS's supporters rose to their feet, but Jairo Tab was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Miguel Ángel Santoro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, SABALEPLUS's Nunez Savier got a free kick in the 37th minute. A collision led to C. A. Independiente getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Ferdinand Bauer hit a great ball. In the 41st minute Jairo Tab shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Ángel Santoro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Claudio Arzeno kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Jairo Tab fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Ángel Santoro having to interfere. A collision led to C. A. Independiente getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Conrad Carrington hit a great ball. After the first half SABALEPLUS were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The wind increased when Ferdinand Bauer made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, SABALEPLUS's goal looked a bit too open when Roy Huston came free, but Bernabe Hanot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Justino Estevez in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Miguel Ángel Santoro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. SABALEPLUS's Jairo Tab got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 59th minute Ferdinand Bauer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernabe Hanot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to C. A. Independiente getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Ferdinand Bauer hit a great ball. Through an outstanding action, after 65 minutes, Miguel Ángel Santoro successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Elliot Orozco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernabe Hanot having to interfere. SABALEPLUS were awarded a corner in the 71th minute after C. A. Independiente's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Erubiel Raebert took the corner. Nunez Savier kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Jairo Tab who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 76thth minute tested the skills of Miguel Ángel Santoro when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Justino Estevez was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 77th minute. SABALEPLUS's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Miguel Ángel Santoro came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by SABALEPLUS's Jairo Tab. But to his dismay, Jairo Tab quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. If Godofredo Ferrando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jairo Tabs short, quick shot in the 86thth minute got Miguel Ángel Santoro to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Jairo Tab let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 87th minute shot 0-3 at rihgt post. Miguel Ángel Santoro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Justino Estevez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Teobaldo Mikeldi's late challenge caught a C. A. Independiente's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Teobaldo Mikeldi helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, SABALEPLUS's Teobaldo Mikeldi got a free kick in the 97th minute. Bernabe Hanot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Conrad Carrington, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute.
