FC Politehnica Timisoara's Tiberiu Mischie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Grégory Castello in the 4th minute of play. In the 5th minute, Flavius Amarandei hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tiberiu Mischie breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tiberiu Mischie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Georges Labarthe in the 15th minute of the match. Teodor Lucaci received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Sofyane Valognes came out and tried to block the shot, but Teodor Lucaci slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 16th minute. After 24 played minutes FC Politehnica Timisoara got a freekick which was hit by Lucrețiu Manolache. Mădălin Băcila received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Sofyane Valognes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fernand Rouland fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiberiu Mischie having to interfere. Tiberiu Mischie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Grégory Castello, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Mădălin Băcila sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Teodor Lucaci charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Teodor Lucaci the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 37th match minute, FC Politehnica Timisoara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodor Lucaci to maneuver through the defense. 42 minutes into the game, Karim Cosme cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Tiberiu Mischie was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 45 minutes into the game, Emanuel Strugure was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Politehnica Timisoara's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rathmore Lime Tree the free kick. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Rathmore Lime Tree's Christophe Reibel got a free kick in the 47th minute. Rathmore Lime Tree made a substitution. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Karim Cosme made a kick off. Tiberiu Mischie made an important save on a dangerous shot by Grégory Castello in the 53rd minute. 60 minutes into the game, Teodor Lucaci cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Sofyane Valognes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rathmore Lime Tree's Karim Cosme got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Teodor Lucaci sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tiberiu Mischie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karim Cosme in the 70th minute of the match. In the 72nd minute, Mădălin Băcila hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 74th match minute, FC Politehnica Timisoara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dorin Lungu to maneuver through the defense. Adil Magaud scored 2-2 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tiberiu Mischie, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Rathmore Lime Tree getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Bilal Hédin hit a great ball. Tiberiu Mischie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karim Cosme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Karim Cosme blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tiberiu Mischie having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mădălin Băcila in the 84th minute of play forced Rathmore Lime Tree's goalkeeper Sofyane Valognes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 86th minute Karim Cosme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiberiu Mischie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 88 minutes into the game, Adil Magaud recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tiberiu Mischie. Adil Magaud showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3. In the 91st minute, Karim Cosme got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. FC Politehnica Timisoara's Tiberiu Mischie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jim Belloir in the 96th minute of play. 98 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Politehnica Timisoara's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Hervé Annette was slow to take the kick. During this time Rathmore Lime Tree's players had a chance to rest. Grégory Castello was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post.
