The audience was convinced that Amedeo Melis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedro Benítez was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. 15 minutes into the game, BlueLionesse's Augustin Ştefănuţ nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Benítez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. 22 minutes into the match, VILLARREAL UNITED's goal looked a bit too open when Augustin Ştefănuţ came free, but Pedro Benítez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. VILLARREAL UNITED's Pedro Benítez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amedeo Melis in the 25th minute of play. If Jiang Zhi Ling had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 29th match minute, BlueLionesse was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Augustin Ştefănuţ to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in VILLARREAL UNITED's zone, Amedeo Melis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Benítez came out of the goal and Amedeo Melis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 40th minute, Benjamin Gimeno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind VILLARREAL UNITED's goalkeeper Pedro Benítez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Pedro Benítez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amedeo Melis, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. A collision led to VILLARREAL UNITED getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Berto Torrente hit a great ball. In the 47th minute, Mister Prophete hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 48th minute Jiang Zhi Ling shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Benítez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
