Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Paulo de Mendonça proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Rio Verde F.C CIMZ from getting a goal against them. Thomás do Valle kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. In the 10th minute Ruy Paes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo de Mendonça saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Paulo de Mendonça got control of the ball when Haruna Hassan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Samuel Andrade made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zac Ba Loua in the 22nd minute of play. Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Paulo de Mendonça proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Rio Verde F.C CIMZ from getting a goal against them. Paulo de Mendonça took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Túlio Jacinto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Remo Goiano received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Paulo de Mendonça came out and tried to block the shot, but Remo Goiano slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 31st minute. When Túlio Jacinto came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the XV de Piracicaba fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Túlio Jacinto couldn't finish the play. After 35 minutes, Zeca Garcia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rio Verde F.C CIMZ and the XV de Piracicaba players grew even worse after the yellow card. 38 minutes into the match, Remo Goiano dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Paulo de Mendonça, 2-0. Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Paulo de Mendonça proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Rio Verde F.C CIMZ from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcinho Loureiro got free with Paulo de Mendonça in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Paulo de Mendonça played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruy Paes in the 45th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Haruna Hassan made the kick off in the second half. Thomás do Valle kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. 55 minutes into the match, Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Túlio Jacinto came free, but Paulo de Mendonça reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paulo de Mendonça showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruy Paes in the 56th minute of the match. Paulo de Mendonça showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Remo Goiano, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. After 66 minutes of play, XV de Piracicaba's Túlio Jacinto made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Paulo de Mendonça was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 75th minute Remo Goiano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo de Mendonça saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 78 played minutes XV de Piracicaba got a freekick which was hit by Remo Goiano. In the 82nd match minute, Rio Verde F.C CIMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tadeu Britto to maneuver through the defense. In the 87th minute, Ke Chang Lin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Paulo de Mendonça played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Remo Goiano in the 90th minute of play. Perivaldo Pimenta was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 92 minutes into the match. In the 93rd minute, Perivaldo Pimenta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 96th minute, Haruna Hassan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Paulo de Mendonça was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. XV de Piracicaba walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
