But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Julio Illan couldn't finish the play. After having played for 22 minutes, Benicio Izquierdo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Martin Palermo F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Benicio Izquierdo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alvaro Oidor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isaac Perrando in the 23rd minute of play. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Martin Palermo F.C.'s goalkeeper Martín Izquierdo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Julio Illan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Martín Izquierdo having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Julio Illan managed to get in a good position for a shot. The ARedonditos de Ricota CFK fans' excitement grew in the 97th match minute when ARedonditos de Ricota CFK's Anselmo Indar looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.
