Lupere FC - DMZ's Rodriguinho Sergipano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jean-Pascal Herrmann in the 15th minute of play. João Paulo Amaral could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Franz Torres made a huge save. In the 21st minute, Cláudio Loyola reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Franz Torres. The goal made the score 1-0. Adam Lanfranchi's late challenge caught a Lupere FC - DMZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adam Lanfranchi helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Cats and dogs getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Adam Lanfranchi hit a great ball. Franz Torres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Inácio Sampaio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 62 minutes into the game, Lupere FC - DMZ's Cláudio Loyola nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Franz Torres made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. Cats and dogs's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
