After 18 minutes, Dedê Borges mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Roceira SC and the Trindade Atlético Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. Dedê Borges hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Hudson Falcão hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Cássio Paess short, quick shot in the 22ndth minute got Carlos Eduardo Chaves to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Carlos Eduardo Chaves came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Trindade Atlético Club's Rafa Borre. But to his dismay, Rafa Borre quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Fausto Martins took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edmílson Britto. The corner led Roceira SC's Róbson Fantini to fire away a dangerous shot which Edmílson Britto despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mário Nascimento in the 48th minute of play forced Trindade Atlético Club's goalkeeper Edmílson Britto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mário Nascimento made a kick off. In the 58th minute, Angelo Netto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edmílson Britto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mário Nascimento, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. In the 65th minute Mário Nascimento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmílson Britto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roceira SC's Carlos Eduardo Chaves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafa Borre in the 66th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Trindade Atlético Club's Indio Colorado got a free kick in the 72nd minute. With his leg Edmílson Britto managed to avoid a goal in the 74thth minute, when Roceira SC's Juan Teles fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Edmílson Britto was out of position in the 83 minute of play, and Júlio Proença capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Júlio Proença really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. In the 89thth minute of the game Cássio Paes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Roceira SC's Carlos Eduardo Chaves was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Yan Pereira charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Yan Pereira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Roceira SC booed when Trindade Atlético Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yan Pereira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
