When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tadeo Ignado made a kick off. After 56 played minutes River CBBA got a freekick which was hit by Fernanco Abarca. Valencia C.F.'s Andoni Zubizarreta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by António Alzamendi in the 95th minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the River CBBA players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
