A collision led to SANTOS F.C getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Luiz Galvão hit a great ball. In the 16th minute, Fábio Penha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 22nd minute Chiquito Benítez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Travassos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Deportivo Mandiyu's Aurelio Abancens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adan Urtsua in the 24th minute of play. Arne Bronco charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arne Bronco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 26 played minutes Deportivo Mandiyu got a freekick which was hit by Arne Bronco. Wilson Travassos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roberto 吴勇 in the 28th minute of the match. In the 31st minute, Cesar Teofilio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wilson Travassos was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. After some careless play in the SANTOS F.C defense, Cesar Teofilio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wilson Travassos. The SANTOS F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilson Travassos should have stopped the shot. Wilson Travassos came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Deportivo Mandiyu's Arne Bronco. But to his dismay, Arne Bronco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Wilson Travassos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cesar Teofilio, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Cesar Teofilio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wilson Travassos having to make a save. Wilson Travassos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cesar Teofilio, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. In the 46th match minute, SANTOS F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gonçalo da Silveira to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

After 52 minutes SANTOS F.C's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Roberto 吴勇 who took care of the corner kick. After a defensive mix-up in SANTOS F.C's zone, Cesar Teofilio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wilson Travassos came out of the goal and Cesar Teofilio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Deportivo Mandiyu's Benigno Larpe was substituted for Cesar Teofilio. Benigno Larpe took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wilson Travassos. Wilson Travassos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. Wilson Travassos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benigno Larpe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 77th minute, Benigno Larpe had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. When Angelo Secco fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SANTOS F.C's protests and gave Angelo Secco a yellow card for diving instead. After 77 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for SANTOS F.C! In the 79th minute there was a penalty for Deportivo Mandiyu. Carlos Fernando Cardoso stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Wilson Travassos. 7-0. Roberto 吴勇 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilson Travassos having to interfere. 87 minutes into the match, Carlos Fernando Cardoso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wilson Travassos. SANTOS F.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carlos Fernando Cardoso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0. After 91st play minutes Carlos Fernando Cardoso shot 9-0, a short shot which went by Wilson Travassos and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 94th minute Adan Urtsua shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelio Abancens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adan Urtsua in the 94th minute of play forced Deportivo Mandiyu's goalkeeper Aurelio Abancens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 95th minute, Maximiliano Ibon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to SANTOS F.C getting a freekick after 97 minutes play.
