The crowd rose to their feet as spikarna's Jonas Nordström slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ulrich Haas. That made the score 1-0 after 12 minutes of play. In the 16th minute of the game Kevin Poonoly made a throw-in which Wolf Hanselmann played forward. In the 16th minute, Bernt Martinsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wolf Hanselmann took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 17th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Samuel Enström. spikarna's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, Muhammet Cakir notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of spikarna's Samuel Enström. Samuel Enström was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 25th minute Jonas Nordström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulrich Haas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Jonas Nordström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ulrich Haas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonas Nordström in the 30th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Büchel in the 33rd minute of play forced spikarna's goalkeeper Samuel Enström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 33 minutes into the game, Kent Fredriksson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. spikarna's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Holfenhein the free kick. Kent Fredriksson kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Ulrich Haas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonas Nordström, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Samuel Enström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Büchel in the 40th minute of the match. A collision led to Holfenhein getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Wolf Hanselmann hit a great ball. In the 46th match minute, spikarna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jim Tönnberg to maneuver through the defense. Holfenhein's José Büchel got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

After 54 minutes of play, spikarna's Jonas Nordström made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ulrich Haas was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jim Tönnberg hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. In the 59th minute, Jim Tönnberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Holfenhein's Ulrich Haas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kent Fredriksson in the 64th minute of play. In the 67th minute, Jim Tönnberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ulrich Haas was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. Ulrich Haas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tommy Strömbom in the 70th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Holfenhein's zone, Tommy Nyström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ulrich Haas came out of the goal and Tommy Nyström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 74 minutes into the match, Holfenhein's goal looked a bit too open when Tommy Strömbom came free, but Ulrich Haas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 76 minutes into the match, Kent Fredriksson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ulrich Haas. Holfenhein's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kent Fredriksson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. 80 minutes into the game, spikarna's Tommy Strömbom nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ulrich Haas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-1. After some careless play in the Holfenhein defense, Tommy Strömbom kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ulrich Haas. The Holfenhein fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ulrich Haas should have stopped the shot. In the 87th minute, Tommy Strömbom made a precise shot to the right of Ulrich Haas. Holfenhein's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-1. Kent Fredriksson might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ulrich Haas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kent Fredriksson ran back to his position shaking his head. Jim Tönnberg took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ulrich Haas. Ulrich Haas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 9-1. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. spikarna had played much better football throughout.
