In the 42nd minute, Deportivo Ortegano's Elano Lobado dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 5-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Andres Peru to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Sendoa Larrañaga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Constantino Elija was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. Deportivo Ortegano made a substitution. Bakar Armental replaced Fraco Bordales. If Sendoa Larrañaga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85th minute, Serafino Berria left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Deportivo Ortegano fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 10-0.
