The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Roman Bide could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Pedro Luís Fernandez made a huge save. After 4 minutes, Gilberto Saraiva mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Marzagão and the Åsnes players grew even worse after the yellow card. The goalkeeper, Pedro Luís Fernandez, was totally fooled by Åsnes's Ray Man, who 5 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. César Rosa hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Pedro Luís Fernandez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kim Alnes in the 10th minute of the match. In the 15thth minute of the game Jonathan Vie who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Marzagão's Pedro Luís Fernandez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Åsnes's Jonathan Vie in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Marzagão's goalie prevented a goal. Marzagão's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Jonathan Vie 20 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-0. 23 minutes into the match, Jonathan Vie had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedro Luís Fernandez. Marzagão's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jonathan Vie was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Jonathan Vie's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 31stth minute, Pedro Luís Fernandez skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Pedro Luís Fernandez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jonathan Vie's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. A collision led to Marzagão getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Leonardo Vides hit a great ball. 37 minutes into the game, Kim Alnes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Åsnes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Marzagão the free kick. In the 37th minute, Kim Alnes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 39th minute, Neil Mar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Marzagão fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. In the 47th minute of the match Jon-Inge Nysæter sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pedro Luís Fernandez skillfully saved the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-1.

The wind increased when César Rosa made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Roman Bide shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Luís Fernandez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aleksander Ånestad hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 58 minutes, Jonathan Vie put it in 6-1 from a short distance just to the right of Pedro Luís Fernandez. After a defensive mix-up in Marzagão's zone, Jonathan Vie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Luís Fernandez came out of the goal and Jonathan Vie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sturle Åsland showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from César Rosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Pedro Luís Fernandez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonathan Vie in the 68th minute of play. Roman Bide took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro Luís Fernandez. Pedro Luís Fernandez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-1. 76 minutes into the match, Marzagão's goal looked a bit too open when Jonathan Vie came free, but Pedro Luís Fernandez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pedro Luís Fernandez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonathan Vie, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. When the match clock showed 85 minutes, the score became 8-1 when Jonathan Vie sped through Marzagão's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Pedro Luís Fernandez. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jonathan Vie in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedro Luís Fernandez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 90 minutes into the match, Marzagão's goal looked a bit too open when Jonathan Vie came free, but Pedro Luís Fernandez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Marzagão players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Åsnes.
