In the 13th minute Wilfredo Gaxan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fortunato Proia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elpidio Shantala's late challenge caught a Cesate's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elpidio Shantala helped the player get up and apologised. Elpidio Shantala hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. In the 17th minute, Demetrio Borrelli got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fortunato Proia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agustin Pacho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee showed Demetrio Borrelli the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 36 minutes into the match, Cesate's goal looked a bit too open when Agustin Pacho came free, but Fortunato Proia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Demetrio Borrelli was the one to do the kick off. When Pedro Rojelio came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Club Atlético Atlanta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Rojelio couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eraldo Di Matteo during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Demetrio Borrelli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fortunato Proia showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 86 minutes into the game, Agustin Pacho recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Fortunato Proia. Agustin Pacho showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Paulino Frechoso in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fortunato Proia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Atlanta's Gaston Joanes got a free kick in the 94th minute. Club Atlético Atlanta played a much better game than Cesate and deserved their victory. The Cesate players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
