The audience was convinced that Calistrat Şerbănescu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Teofil Lanczak was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. Szalone Konie's defense didn't have a chance, in the 10th minute, when Calistrat Şerbănescu scored to the left of an out of position Teofil Lanczak, making the score, 1-0. Vlad Covrig made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pankracy Tepper in the 14th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Szalone Konie's Jan Fudalej got a free kick in the 21st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Szalone Konie's zone, Calistrat Şerbănescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teofil Lanczak came out of the goal and Calistrat Şerbănescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 24 minutes into the game, Calistrat Şerbănescu lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Teofil Lanczak. Teofil Lanczak stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Calistrat Şerbănescu's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. A collision led to Szalone Konie getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Pankracy Zacharzewski hit a great ball. Vlad Covrig stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pankracy Tepper's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. Teofil Lanczak made an important save on a dangerous shot by Damian Cârlan in the 37th minute. After a rather tough play, PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Sebastian Istodor got a free kick in the 38th minute. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Szalone Konie's goalkeeper Teofil Lanczak, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 46th minute, Pankracy Zacharzewski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Pankracy Tepper made the kick off in the second half. 70 minutes into the game, Calistrat Şerbănescu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Teofil Lanczak was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 75th minute Zygmunt Szostak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vlad Covrig saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Öztürk Varan kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. After 83 played minutes Szalone Konie got a freekick which was hit by Öztürk Varan. Calistrat Şerbănescu's late challenge caught a Szalone Konie's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Calistrat Şerbănescu helped the player get up and apologised. Calistrat Şerbănescu hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Wit Dubilas struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Vlad Covrig didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Szalone Konie. Vlad Covrig took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zygmunt Szostak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Calistrat Şerbănescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Teofil Lanczak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
