Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Thommy Pelgrims took the kick off in the first half of the match. Barbosa van Beek made an important save on a dangerous shot by Thommy Pelgrims in the 2nd minute. Beek City's Barbosa van Beek proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Beek City from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matthew Gijselinx in the 6th minute of play forced Brugge United's goalkeeper Aldo Candal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 7 minutes into the match, Brugge United's goal looked a bit too open when Frits De Bruyn came free, but Aldo Candal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aldo Candal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tostão van Beek's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. In the 9th minute, Lucas Nayely hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tostão van Beek in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aldo Candal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tostão van Beek in the 13th minute of play forced Brugge United's goalkeeper Aldo Candal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpected shot in the 15th minute by Diederiek Daems got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Aldo Candal came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Beek City's Frits De Bruyn. But to his dismay, Frits De Bruyn quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Barbosa van Beek made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Diederiek Daems sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thommy Pelgrims in the 25th minute of play forced Beek City's goalkeeper Barbosa van Beek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Beek City's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Thommy Pelgrims 26 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. Brugge United's Aldo Candal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tostão van Beek in the 33rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matthew Gijselinx in the 35th minute of play forced Brugge United's goalkeeper Aldo Candal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Beek City's goalkeeper Barbosa van Beek, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Beek City's Matthew Gijselinx got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Brugge United's Aldo Candal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frits De Bruyn in the 47th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tostão van Beek was the one to do the kick off. Brugge United's Aldo Candal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matthew Gijselinx in the 52nd minute of play. Tostão van Beek who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 54thth minute tested the skills of Aldo Candal when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Aldo Candal had great luck who in the 56thth minute grab hold of the ball when Tostão van Beek from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. In the 57th minute of the match Beek City got a corner. Brugge United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Elano van Beek ran over to the corner to take the kick. Rajmond Van den Berghe was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. With a little luck, Brugge United's Aldo Candal got control of the ball when Tostão van Beek tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 60 minutes, Frank Terwenhout mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Brugge United and the Beek City players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Beek City booed when Brugge United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frank Terwenhout didn't get a good kick on the ball. 61 minutes into the game, Matthew Gijselinx recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Aldo Candal. Matthew Gijselinx showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Matthew Gijselinx sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 69th minute, Elano van Beek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 71 minutes of play, Brugge United's Diederiek Daems made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Barbosa van Beek was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tostão van Beek might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aldo Candal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tostão van Beek ran back to his position shaking his head. Frits De Bruyn could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Aldo Candal made a huge save. When Frank Terwenhout was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 80 minutes had been played. The supporters of Brugge United booed when Beek City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harrie Verlinden didn't get a good kick on the ball. Frits De Bruyn could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Aldo Candal made a huge save. With an all-out effort, Beek City's Aldo Candal threw himself towards the right post 87 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ken Goffeyn, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 89 minutes had been played when some careless play by Brugge United's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Elano van Beek was slow to take the kick. During this time Beek City's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Matthew Gijselinx almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Brugge United's Aldo Candal did a great save. Georges-Philippe Engels hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Tostão van Beek struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Aldo Candal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Beek City. Brugge United's defense didn't have a chance, in the 97th minute, when Tostão van Beek scored to the left of an out of position Aldo Candal, making the score, 2-3. Beek City's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
