The supporters of ASV Muziekwijk booed when Fågelmara IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lars-Erik Kiempe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Harold Wander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anders Holm, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. In the 17th minute, Kees Iemberge left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ASV Muziekwijk fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kees Iemberge in the 21st minute of play forced Fågelmara IK's goalkeeper John Granberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. John Granberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jelte de Jong in the 22nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, ASV Muziekwijk's Cobus van Zeijl got a free kick in the 27th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Filip Koekkoek in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck John Granberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 35th minute Pim Haremeijer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but John Granberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. John Granberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jelte de Jong went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kees Iemberge during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. John Granberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kees Iemberge in the 47th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Pim Haremeijer made the kick off in the second half. Nick Post in the 51stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of John Granberg, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Harold Wander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Per-Oskar Borre, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. John Granberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Filip Koekkoek got free with John Granberg in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Filip Koekkoek could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but John Granberg made a huge save. The referee felt a red card was in order, 78 minutes into the game, when Aron Österberg put in a rough tackle. In the 77th minute, one of Fågelmara IK:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Fågelmara IK. Filip Koekkoek could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but John Granberg made a huge save. In the 85th match minute, Fågelmara IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lars-Erik Kiempe to maneuver through the defense. Krister Lundström scored 1-3 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Harold Wander, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The ASV Muziekwijk supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing ASV Muziekwijk would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
