With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cipriano Mederi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to C.A Vientos Huracanados getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Marciano Frasco hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Sílvio Alagoano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Squadra Demarchi's supporters rose to their feet, but Sílvio Alagoano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cipriano Mederi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 22nd minute, C.A Vientos Huracanados's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Claudinho Loyola fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 24 minutes into the match, C.A Vientos Huracanados's goal looked a bit too open when Sílvio Alagoano came free, but Cipriano Mederi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Squadra Demarchi's Oscar Saldanha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horacio Roano in the 42nd minute of play. If Sílvio Alagoano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Kléber Queirós struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Cipriano Mederi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal.
