Lieven Omblets received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Amancio Urtats tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the El Retorno de Palermo defense, Remco Van Der Elst kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Amancio Urtats. The El Retorno de Palermo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Amancio Urtats should have stopped the shot. After having played for 17 minutes, Aquiles Cordearo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Retorno de Palermo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aquiles Cordearo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Amancio Urtats didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Levi Audenaert went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. In the 32nd minute, Cederique De Kepper got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Carolo Alonso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Michael Campens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Carolo Alonso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonathan Atarrabi kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. If Osvaldo Tiniebra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lieven Omblets made a kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lieven Omblets in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Amancio Urtats prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 55th minute Lieven Omblets shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amancio Urtats saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 57 minutes into the match, Purple Talents's goal looked a bit too open when Carolo Alonso came free, but Michael Campens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amancio Urtats showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Levi Audenaert, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. 62 minutes into the match, Aquiles Cordearo notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Purple Talents's Michael Campens. Michael Campens was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience was convinced that Lieven Omblets's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Amancio Urtats was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. Amancio Urtats came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Purple Talents's Cederique De Kepper. But to his dismay, Cederique De Kepper quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. The referee felt a red card was in order, 72 minutes into the game, when Dionisio Eutor put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 72nd minute of the game. One of El Retorno de Palermo:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Purple Talents:s goal. Amancio Urtats showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lieven Omblets in the 82nd minute of the match. When Carolo Alonso fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored El Retorno de Palermo's protests and gave Carolo Alonso a yellow card for diving instead. After 84 played minutes El Retorno de Palermo got a freekick which was hit by Carolo Alonso. In the 87th minute Levi Audenaert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amancio Urtats saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amancio Urtats didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Levi Audenaert went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. Cederique De Kepper sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 94 minutes, Rigoberto Anaya mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the El Retorno de Palermo and the Purple Talents players grew even worse after the yellow card. The audience was convinced that Carolo Alonso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Michael Campens was relentless in the 98th minute of the game. For all the effort they put into the match, the El Retorno de Palermo players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Purple Talents.
