The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 7 minutes into the match, Vipos FC's goal looked a bit too open when M. Andik Sumadipraja came free, but Jaime Urbez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 8 minutes had been played when some careless play by Vipos FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Egi Asmawan was slow to take the kick. During this time Durian FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Durian FC's Egi Asmawan to fire away a dangerous shot which Jaime Urbez despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Budi Pradnyana hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Astor Chago scored 0-1 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ardha Handoyo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 17th minute Jacinto Telo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ardha Handoyo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 21st match minute, Durian FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stevanus Wijanarko to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Durian FC defense, Astor Chago kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ardha Handoyo. The Durian FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ardha Handoyo should have stopped the shot. After 31 played minutes Durian FC got a freekick which was hit by Hendri Witoelar. Jaime Urbez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Budi Pradnyana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 42nd minute Jacinto Telo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ardha Handoyo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Budi Pradnyana hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. After 45 played minutes, Vipos FC's Julio Ovando shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ardha Handoyo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Vipos FC reached it. The Durian FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Vipos FC were winning 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jacinto Telo was the one to do the kick off. When Rayana Bahalwan fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Durian FC's protests and gave Rayana Bahalwan a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Durian FC's Rayana Bahalwan got a free kick in the 56th minute. Budi Pradnyana kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Vipos FC's Julio Ovando shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 62nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Ardha Handoyo but with some difficulty. When the match had gone on for 63 minutes, Donato Fernendo took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Ardha Handoyo to make any attempt to save it. With a little luck, Durian FC's Ardha Handoyo got control of the ball when Modesto Marino tried to sneak it across the goal line. When M. In the 89th minute of the match, Jacinto Telo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ardha Handoyo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Jacinto Telo took a quick shot and it went in 1-6 without a chance for Ardha Handoyo to make any attempt to save it. When M. Andik Sumadipraja came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Durian FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that M. Andik Sumadipraja couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Vipos FC booed when Durian FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christopher Panjaitan didn't get a good kick on the ball.
