Olimpia HSB's supporters rose to their feet, but Damian Grucza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dirk-Jan Akkerman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 8 minutes into the game, The Underdogs's Carsten van Wonderen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Miromir Mikulski made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Miromir Mikulski didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sjors Kolkman went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After 16 minutes, Konrad Puch mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Olimpia HSB and the The Underdogs players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Olimpia HSB's Konrad Puch got a free kick in the 16th minute. After recieving a nice pass, The Underdogs's Chuck Wood tried to score from far away in the 17th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Matthijs De Ligt kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Miromir Mikulski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carsten van Wonderen, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Damian Grucza succeeded in the game's 29th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-2. Bjorn Veltman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marek Sitko hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. 36 minutes into the match, Sjors Kolkman notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Olimpia HSB's Miromir Mikulski. Miromir Mikulski was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, The Underdogs's Carsten van Wonderen got a free kick in the 46th minute. After the first half The Underdogs were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Carsten van Wonderen to make the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pieter Bos during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 60 minutes of play, Olimpia HSB's Damian Grucza made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dirk-Jan Akkerman was left in no man's land by his defense there! Olimpia HSB's Tomasz Cebula was substituted for Eugeniusz Murdza. Olimpia HSB's Roland Mielak was substituted for Ulryk Tarka. Miromir Mikulski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carsten van Wonderen, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute.
