After 3 played minutes Sporting Clube de Gaya got a freekick which was hit by Tomé Igrejas. Aurelian Otopeanu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 5 minutes into the match, Sporting Clube de Gaya's goalkeeper Jacinto Quintanilha had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alexandru Pintilie. 7 minutes into the match, Lolo Bolø dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jacinto Quintanilha, 1-0. The audience was convinced that Alexandru Pintilie's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jacinto Quintanilha was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. Armada's Nicolae Hrandabur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomé Igrejas in the 11th minute of play. Aurelian Otopeanu struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Jacinto Quintanilha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Armada. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Dorin Mereuță took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Jacinto Quintanilha to make any attempt to save it. When Mihăiţă Mandache fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Armada's protests and gave Mihăiţă Mandache a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Armada getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Mihăiţă Mandache hit a great ball. Nicolae Hrandabur took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomé Igrejas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nicolae Hrandabur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomé Igrejas in the 21st minute of play. Sporting Clube de Gaya's Jacinto Quintanilha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lolo Bolø in the 22nd minute of play. Traian Muscă kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. A collision led to Sporting Clube de Gaya getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Lisandro Branco hit a great ball. After 28 minutes of play, Armada's Alexandru Pintilie made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jacinto Quintanilha was left in no man's land by his defense there! Lolo Bolø received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Jacinto Quintanilha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lolo Bolø scored 4-0 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jacinto Quintanilha, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Armada's Aurelian Otopeanu was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 37th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Alcides Falcão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dorin Mereuță was the one to do the kick off. The audience was convinced that Aurelian Otopeanu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jacinto Quintanilha was relentless in the 84th minute of the game.
