The audience thought a goal was coming when Julio Brandao got free with Valdemar Moreira in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Jacuitiba - FSCMZ's Pedro Luís Quintal got a free kick in the 28th minute. 29 minutes into the game, Benjamin Travassos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jacuitiba - FSCMZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pαɳαɱα Jυɳισɾʂ FC the free kick. The supporters of Pαɳαɱα Jυɳισɾʂ FC booed when Jacuitiba - FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benjamin Travassos didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 30th minute of the match Jonathan De Gracia shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Valdemar Moreira showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Christian Calderón had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luchito De Leon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elano Martins in the 34th minute of the match. Valdemar Moreira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexander-James Balder in the 36th minute of play. Valdemar Moreira came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Pαɳαɱα Jυɳισɾʂ FC's Luis Herrera. But to his dismay, Luis Herrera quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. If Alexander-James Balder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Jonathan De Gracia fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pαɳαɱα Jυɳισɾʂ FC's protests and gave Jonathan De Gracia a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Jacuitiba - FSCMZ booed when Pαɳαɱα Jυɳισɾʂ FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan De Gracia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ricardo Arauz hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luis Herrera to make the kick off. Luís Eduardo Santana kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match.
