The supporters of Pogoń Stawiszyn booed when Przełęcz Dukla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kazimierz Harendarski didn't get a good kick on the ball. The long shot by Jerzy Pilsudski in the 17th minute really tested Witold Niedzwiecki's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 18th match minute, Pogoń Stawiszyn was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hieronim Percha to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Pogoń Stawiszyn getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Jerzy Pilsudski hit a great ball. 21 minutes into the game, Tadeusz Galus cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Iwo Misiorowski was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Witold Niedzwiecki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jerzy Zawaski in the 28th minute of the match. Tadeusz Galus blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Iwo Misiorowski having to make a save. After 31 played minutes Pogoń Stawiszyn got a freekick which was hit by Karol Labus. Przełęcz Dukla's Gwidon Bielenda couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Pogoń Stawiszyn. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jerzy Zawaski to strike the kick off in the second half. Przełęcz Dukla's Tadeusz Galus got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pogoń Stawiszyn's Iwo Misiorowski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Pogoń Stawiszyn from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Przełęcz Dukla getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Wasyl Majerowicz hit a great ball. After 57 played minutes, Pogoń Stawiszyn's Damazy Falkowski shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Witold Niedzwiecki came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Pogoń Stawiszyn reached it. Edward Damazki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Witold Niedzwiecki having to interfere. If Tadeusz Galus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pogoń Stawiszyn made a substitution. Artur Rosiewicz replaced Edward Damazki. Pogoń Stawiszyn's defense didn't have a chance, in the 65th minute, when Gwidon Bielenda scored to the left of an out of position Iwo Misiorowski, making the score, 1-4. After some careless play in the Przełęcz Dukla defense, Ignacy Kluska kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Witold Niedzwiecki. The Przełęcz Dukla fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Witold Niedzwiecki should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tadeusz Galus got free with Iwo Misiorowski in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 83 minutes into the match, Przełęcz Dukla's goal looked a bit too open when Lucjan Tokarczyk came free, but Witold Niedzwiecki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Artur Rosiewicz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Witold Niedzwiecki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ignacy Kluska scored 3-4 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Witold Niedzwiecki, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 93 minutes into the match, Przełęcz Dukla's goal looked a bit too open when Ignacy Kluska came free, but Witold Niedzwiecki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Przełęcz Dukla had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
