Villaverde Celeste Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Giuliano David was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lech Gondela breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Damian Werra struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Pedrinho Mesquita didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SuRpRiSe. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Lech Gondela stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Giuliano David's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Giuliano David stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alberto Galvão's late challenge caught a SuRpRiSe's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alberto Galvão helped the player get up and apologised. 89 minutes into the game, one of Villaverde Celeste Clube:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Pedrinho Mesquita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ofer Maa in the 97th minute of play. The Villaverde Celeste Clube supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Villaverde Celeste Clube would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
