Rolando Ortiz started the match with the kick off. Adolfo Duarte might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Szymon Winograd. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Adolfo Duarte ran back to his position shaking his head. Szymon Winograd made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilmer Gutierrez in the 6th minute of play. If Jorge Pimentel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Szymon Winograd came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Real Madrid de Guatemala's Rolando Ortiz. But to his dismay, Rolando Ortiz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 21 minutes into the match, Szalone Konie's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelo Alfaro came free, but Szymon Winograd reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jorge Pimentel took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Szymon Winograd. Szymon Winograd dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rolando Ortiz in the 27th minute of play forced Szalone Konie's goalkeeper Szymon Winograd to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 34 minutes into the match, Real Madrid de Guatemala's goalkeeper Shawn Cruz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Herbert Plech. Ulises Palma charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ulises Palma the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 43rd minute Real Madrid de Guatemala were awarded a corner. Julio Villacorta went to the cornerflag to take it. Real Madrid de Guatemala's Julio Villacorta was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Szymon Winograd in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Cyryl Pryputnicki made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Real Madrid de Guatemala's goal looked a bit too open when Jaroslaw Solibieda came free, but Shawn Cruz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Cyryl Pryputnicki's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Shawn Cruz was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adolfo Duarte in the 60th minute of play forced Szalone Konie's goalkeeper Szymon Winograd to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 61st minute, Real Madrid de Guatemala's Jorge Pimentel ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Szymon Winograd. Szymon Winograd yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. Marcelo Alfaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Szymon Winograd tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Real Madrid de Guatemala's Mauro Sosa was substituted for Julio Villacorta. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Pimentel in the 70th minute of play forced Szalone Konie's goalkeeper Szymon Winograd to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Remigiusz Domaracki in the 73rd minute of play forced Real Madrid de Guatemala's goalkeeper Shawn Cruz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 77thth minute of the game Rolando Ortiz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Szalone Konie's Szymon Winograd was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Jaroslaw Solibieda fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Szalone Konie's protests and gave Jaroslaw Solibieda a yellow card for diving instead. After 84 played minutes Szalone Konie got a freekick which was hit by Jaroslaw Solibieda. In the 85th minute of the match Marcelo Alfaro shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Szymon Winograd showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 85 minutes, Cyryl Pryputnicki mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Szalone Konie and the Real Madrid de Guatemala players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cyryl Pryputnicki kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. When Rolando Ortiz came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Real Madrid de Guatemala fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rolando Ortiz couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Real Madrid de Guatemala booed when Szalone Konie was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jaroslaw Solibieda didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Szalone Konie fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Real Madrid de Guatemala were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
