The audience thought a goal was coming when Brian Aguirre got free with Dadá Favoretto in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 30th minute, Tiaguinho Coelho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Doni Koehler in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ariel Urbasa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

With his leg Ariel Urbasa managed to avoid a goal in the 53rdth minute, when Granadero10's Doni Koehler fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 54th minute, Doni Koehler left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Granadero10 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After having played for 58 minutes, Brian Aguirre managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sporting de Gijón's supporters crossed their fingers, but Brian Aguirre was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ariel Urbasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doni Koehler in the 60th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Doni Koehler in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ariel Urbasa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Doni Koehler recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dalmacio Castel kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Granadero10's Geovanni Marquez got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 93 played minutes Granadero10 got a freekick which was hit by Ediberto Teixeira. If Casimiro Galindo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
