Georg Alberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 2nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cacá Sousa having to interfere. After 4 minutes, Rony Braga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ and the FC Kurdistan players grew even worse after the yellow card. Rony Braga hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. In the 5th minute, Kia Motor made a precise shot to the right of Cacá Sousa. Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 12th minute Kia Motor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cacá Sousa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 13th minute, André Vides hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cacá Sousa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kia Motor in the 14th minute of the match. In the 15th minute, Lino Freire hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cacá Sousa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Georg Alberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 21 minutes into the match, Georg Alberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cacá Sousa. Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Georg Alberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. The supporters of FC Kurdistan booed when Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Humberto Botelho didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29th match minute, FC Kurdistan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Georg Alberg to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Charlie Ekerot in the 38th minute of play forced Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's goalkeeper Cacá Sousa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ defense, Kia Motor kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cacá Sousa. The Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cacá Sousa should have stopped the shot. 45 minutes into the match, Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Kia Motor came free, but Cacá Sousa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Deivid Moreira made the kick off in the second half. Kia Motors short, quick shot in the 54thth minute got Cacá Sousa to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Cacá Sousa came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Kurdistan's Jonas Högberg. But to his dismay, Jonas Högberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Cacá Sousa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonas Högberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cacá Sousa made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Kia Motor sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to FC Kurdistan getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Jonas Högberg hit a great ball. In the 68th minute, Jonas Högberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's Cacá Sousa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jens-Åke Carlsson got free with Cacá Sousa in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. FC Kurdistan's Brian Kullgren was substituted for Jens-Åke Carlsson. FC Kurdistan's Karl Eliasson got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Brian Kullgren kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 94 minutes, Brian Kullgren took a quick shot and it went in 0-6 without a chance for Cacá Sousa to make any attempt to save it. When the match was over FC Kurdistan could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ throughout the match.
