The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The crowd rose to their feet as Piquirenda FC's Silvestre Peter slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Florentino Haimar. That made the score 1-0 after 5 minutes of play. Pendex's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Silvestre Peter 10 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. Samuel Munio hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. In the 13th minute Cristian Gauargi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Freddy Elequemedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Pendex booed when Piquirenda FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabricio Loi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Freddy Elequemedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Godofredo Nayely, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 19 played minutes Piquirenda FC got a freekick which was hit by Samuel Munio. Piquirenda FC's Freddy Elequemedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Godofredo Nayely in the 20th minute of play. Florentino Haimar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fabricio Loi in the 26th minute. Fabricio Loi kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. In the 31st match minute, Pendex was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Narciso Sayveon to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Silvestre Peter kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Florentino Haimar. That made the score 3-0 in the 33 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Piquirenda FC's Silvestre Peter got a free kick in the 38th minute. Godofredo Nayely made a great header on Pendex's corner, it was just that Piquirenda FC's Freddy Elequemedo managed to reach the ball for a save. After 43 played minutes Piquirenda FC got a freekick which was hit by Fabricio Loi. After a defensive mix-up in Piquirenda FC's zone, Cristian Gauargi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Freddy Elequemedo came out of the goal and Cristian Gauargi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

Amadeo Matxin scored 4-0 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Florentino Haimar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 65th minute Teofilo Constancio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Freddy Elequemedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fabricio Loi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florentino Haimar having to interfere. Piquirenda FC's Niceto Flor was substituted for Amadeo Matxin. Pendex's Leon Paskal was substituted for Oscar Lucado. Freddy Elequemedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Gauargi in the 75th minute of the match. Florentino Haimar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Niceto Flor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Silvestre Peter fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Piquirenda FC's protests and gave Silvestre Peter a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Piquirenda FC getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Silvestre Peter hit a great ball. 81 minutes into the game, Piquirenda FC's Fabricio Loi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Florentino Haimar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. 85 minutes into the game, Niceto Flor cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Florentino Haimar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With 92 minutes on the clock, Samuel Munio commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 92 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Piquirenda FC! Godofredo Nayely shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. After a rather tough play, Piquirenda FC's Delmiro Intxixu got a free kick in the 96th minute. Pendex's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
