After a rather tough play, Piquirenda FC's Romulo Bizi got a free kick in the 5th minute. When Roberto Gorri fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Menchu FC's protests and gave Roberto Gorri a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Menchu FC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Roberto Gorri hit a great ball. 11 minutes into the match, Leonides Vigil notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Piquirenda FC's Freddy Elequemedo. Freddy Elequemedo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 16th minute of the match Segundo Corderun shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Filiberto Etxeberri showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Roque Rivero took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 20th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Freddy Elequemedo. Piquirenda FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 22nd minute, Roque Rivero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Piquirenda FC's Fabricio Loi got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Filiberto Etxeberri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvestre Peter in the 27th minute of the match. In the 29th minute, Silvestre Peter made a precise shot to the right of Filiberto Etxeberri. Menchu FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After 34 minutes of play Menchu FC's Roberto Gorri was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 39 minutes into the game, Piquirenda FC's Silvestre Peter nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Filiberto Etxeberri made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edgard Baldovino during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 47 played minutes Menchu FC got a freekick which was hit by Edgard Baldovino. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Silvestre Peter stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Filiberto Etxeberri made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Silvestre Peter sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Silvestre Peter got free with Filiberto Etxeberri in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Amadeo Matxin came free with the goalkeeper in the 53rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Filiberto Etxeberri could save by the left post. Filiberto Etxeberri didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 56th minute, which inside left pole to 1-3. Piquirenda FC made a substitution. Niceto Flor replaced Amadeo Matxin. Silvestre Peters short, quick shot in the 66thth minute got Filiberto Etxeberri to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Samuel Munio struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Filiberto Etxeberri didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Piquirenda FC. Menchu FC's Blas Fonda was substituted for Silverio Meder. Silvestre Peter scored 1-4 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Filiberto Etxeberri, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Menchu FC getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Jonathan Honesto hit a great ball. When Piquirenda FC's Silvestre Peter in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Menchu FC's goalie prevented a goal. Freddy Elequemedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Braulio Dominix in the 76th minute of play. Niceto Flor could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Filiberto Etxeberri made a huge save. 79 minutes into the match, Menchu FC's goalkeeper Filiberto Etxeberri had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fabricio Loi. When Fabricio Loi came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Piquirenda FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabricio Loi couldn't finish the play. 84 minutes into the match, Menchu FC's goal looked a bit too open when Silvestre Peter came free, but Filiberto Etxeberri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Filiberto Etxeberri was a little too slow when Fabricio Loi got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 85th minute. The score was now 1-5. Piquirenda FC's Segundo Corderun shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 89th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Filiberto Etxeberri but with some difficulty. Cornelio Roderigo charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cornelio Roderigo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Piquirenda FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
