After 10 minutes, Deivid Moreira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ and the Menchu FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 10th minute, Deivid Moreira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adhemar Pinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Deivid Moreira got free with Filiberto Etxeberri in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgard Baldovino in the 20th minute of play forced Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's goalkeeper Cacá Sousa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonathan Honesto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Adhemar Pinho took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Filiberto Etxeberri to make any attempt to save it. Edgard Baldovino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's Cacá Sousa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgard Baldovino in the 38th minute of play. Cacá Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgard Baldovino in the 46th minute of play. In the 47th match minute, Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Humberto Botelho to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 49th minute, Jonathan Honesto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Menchu FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jonathan Honesto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cacá Sousa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Deivid Moreira to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leonides Vigil in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cacá Sousa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 57th minute, Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's Anselmo Vasconcelos seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Anselmo Vasconcelos the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Anselmo Vasconcelos had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. When the match had been going on for 58 minutes, Menchu FC's Lucio Ourente got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Cacá Sousa. When Edgard Baldovino came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Menchu FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edgard Baldovino couldn't finish the play. 64 minutes into the game, Alex Gonçalves was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Menchu FC the free kick. In the 64th match minute, Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Gonçalves to maneuver through the defense. Humberto Botelho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 72nd match minute, Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Deivid Moreira to maneuver through the defense. Filiberto Etxeberri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Deivid Moreira in the 75th minute of play. Filiberto Etxeberri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Deivid Moreira in the 76th minute of the match. Braulio Dominix struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Cacá Sousa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Menchu FC. 81 minutes into the match, Edgard Baldovino notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's Cacá Sousa. Cacá Sousa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a little luck, Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's Cacá Sousa got control of the ball when Jonathan Honesto tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ booed when Menchu FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Honesto didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 92 minutes, Jeremias Mincho took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Cacá Sousa to make any attempt to save it. Menchu FC's Lucio Ourente couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 96th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ.
