After 2 played minutes Club Sportiv Medgidia got a freekick which was hit by Romeo Ungur. After 3 played minutes, Golden Lions FC's Edvard Nykvist shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Nicu Arghirescu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Golden Lions FC reached it. If Horea Aplugăriței had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 6 minutes into the match, Stelian Hulubei dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Johannes Lilja, 1-0. Nicu Arghirescu came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Golden Lions FC's Ingvar Sundström. But to his dismay, Ingvar Sundström quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 12 minutes into the match, Club Sportiv Medgidia's goal looked a bit too open when Aron Billström came free, but Nicu Arghirescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Romeo Ungur kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. In the 14th minute of the match Edvard Nykvist shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nicu Arghirescu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Paul Käcker scored 1-2 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nicu Arghirescu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Paul Käcker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Nicu Arghirescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paul Käcker, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. When the match clock showed 20 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Paul Käcker sped through Club Sportiv Medgidia's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nicu Arghirescu. Club Sportiv Medgidia's Stelian Hulubei got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 27th minute, Aron Billström ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nicu Arghirescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. After a rather tough play, Golden Lions FC's Edvard Nykvist got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Augustin Horea succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-4 in the 36th playminute. When Horea Aplugăriței came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Club Sportiv Medgidia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Horea Aplugăriței couldn't finish the play. After 47 minutes of play, Golden Lions FC's Ingvar Sundström made it 2-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nicu Arghirescu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 2-5 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Augustin Horea made a kick off. Nicu Arghirescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ingvar Sundström in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 57th minute, Paul Käcker left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Golden Lions FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-6. Ingvar Sundström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Edvard Nykvist made a great header on Golden Lions FC's corner, it was just that Club Sportiv Medgidia's Nicu Arghirescu managed to reach the ball for a save. Nicu Arghirescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ingvar Sundström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ingvar Sundström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bertil Hegg hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Golden Lions FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
