In the 11th match minute, Academica Pulheim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kevin Meißel to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stefan Zuraw in the 13th minute of play forced Academica Pulheim's goalkeeper Alvo Kobe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kilian Thomas hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Zachariasz Kaszubik blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alvo Kobe having to make a save. A collision led to Mafia Koniaka getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Michal Karp hit a great ball. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mafia Koniaka's goalkeeper Waldemar Moczkiewicz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gunther Daun could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Waldemar Moczkiewicz made a huge save. If Edgar Jarocewicz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Academica Pulheim's Alvo Kobe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wincenty Waselewicz in the 31st minute of play. Alvo Kobe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stefan Zuraw, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 36 minutes into the game, when Burkhard van de Sand put in a rough tackle. Burkhard van de Sand hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Mafia Koniaka's Jaroslaw Jaszyna tried to score from far away in the 38th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 42nd minute, Slawomir Lipinski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 46 minutes into the match, Mafia Koniaka's goalkeeper Waldemar Moczkiewicz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Karsten Oppmann. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Stefan Zuraw made a kick off. In the 53rd minute Karsten Oppmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waldemar Moczkiewicz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 58 minutes into the game, Edgar Jarocewicz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zachariasz Kaszubik kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Barnabas Rogge fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Waldemar Moczkiewicz having to interfere. Mafia Koniaka succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Academica Pulheim had controlled the match.
