George Agachi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Remus Ticulescu in the 6th minute of the match. Petruț Vlăsiu's late challenge caught a C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Petruț Vlăsiu helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of C Ａ R D I N Ａ L booed when Galati Harbour Cats was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Petruț Vlăsiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 11th match minute, Galati Harbour Cats was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Calistrat Glăvan to maneuver through the defense. Laurențiu Plăcintă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 20th minute, Laurențiu Plăcintă made a precise shot to the right of George Agachi. Galati Harbour Cats's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. 27 minutes into the match, Galati Harbour Cats's goalkeeper George Agachi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mai Sugoi. In the 29th minute Jo Bag shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pompiliu Vizitiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 33rd minute, Horaţiu Aurelianu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of C Ａ R D I N Ａ L booed when Galati Harbour Cats was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Petruț Vlăsiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Galati Harbour Cats's George Agachi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Galati Harbour Cats from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Galati Harbour Cats's Traian Slătineanu got a free kick in the 38th minute. C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's Radu Dacian got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jo Bag was the one to do the kick off. After 52 minutes, Corneliu Hurmuzescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Galati Harbour Cats and the C Ａ R D I N Ａ L players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 52 played minutes Galati Harbour Cats got a freekick which was hit by Corneliu Hurmuzescu. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horaţiu Aurelianu in the 56th minute of play forced Galati Harbour Cats's goalkeeper George Agachi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 57 played minutes Galati Harbour Cats got a freekick which was hit by Corneliu Hurmuzescu. In the 57th minute of the match Mai Sugoi shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but George Agachi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Pompiliu Vizitiu came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Galati Harbour Cats's Vali Ghețea. But to his dismay, Vali Ghețea quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 68 minutes into the game, Horaţiu Aurelianu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. George Agachi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 75 minutes of play, C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's Remus Ticulescu made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. George Agachi was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 78th minute Horaţiu Aurelianu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but George Agachi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Traian Slătineanu fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Galati Harbour Cats's protests and gave Traian Slătineanu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 79th match minute, Galati Harbour Cats was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Traian Slătineanu to maneuver through the defense. 85 minutes into the game, Remus Ticulescu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. George Agachi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Horaţiu Aurelianu took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised George Agachi. George Agachi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. In the 93rd minute, Radu Dacian left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The C Ａ R D I N Ａ L fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-1. C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
